The consortium was scheduled to meet in Malta throughout May for the second transnational meeting between the Ecoblue Tourism partners. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, this meeting has been postponed to ensure that it is held under the necessary security measures. In the meantime, the consortium has decided to take advantage of the opportunities provided by new digital technologies to hold an online meeting.
The aim of this online meeting is to allow the partners to stay in contact and strengthen the consortium’s links, as well as to define the working details for the coming months and to evaluate the content developed so far. The meeting was attended by representatives from the University of Patras (Greece), Dorea Educational Institute WTF (Cyprus), Training 2000 psc (Italy), Kemer Halk Egitim Merkezi Mudurlugu (Turkey), Future Focus Ltd Higher Education Institution (Malta), la Asociación de Empresarios Gallegos en Aragón y Riberas del Ebro, AEGARE, (Spain) and European and International Projects Office of the FUE-UJI, EuroFUE-UJI (Spain).
The Erasmus+ Ecoblue Tourism project has focused in its first months on the study and analysis of the blue ecotourism sector and on its state of entrepreneurship. To this end, it has used interviews with professionals in the sector, questionnaires and analysis of success cases and good practices in blue ecotourism entrepreneurs
Over the coming months, the partners will develop the training content of the course in blue and ecological tourism entrepreneurship that the Ecoblue Tourism project will make available to the most ambitious young people in all of its partners’ countries. In its next transnational meeting in Malta, organized by Future Focus, the content developed for this training course will be evaluated in order to proceed with the development of the mobile application that will allow the participants to be trained in blue ecotourism entrepreneurship.
