The second transnational meeting of the European Ecoblue Tourism project on blue ecotourism entrepreneurship was held on October 20 in a mixed format. The consortium meeting has hosted some of the project partners at the headquarters of the partner Future Focus (Malta), while part of the consortium has attended telematically.
The Erasmus+ project reaches the halfway point of its implementation with the second transnational meeting between partners in which the progress in the development of training material in blue ecotourism entrepreneurship has been presented. This material will be implemented in the realization of a 53h training course with a total of 8 modules. In addition, the training has been adapted to the current situation worldwide, also including the training module Activating the Tourism sector in times of COVID-19 and Security.
The meeting also included the presentation of the interface of the mobile application in which the training material will be hosted. Through this mobile application, long-term unemployed young people will be able to train in ecological activities that respect marine ecosystems.
The meeting was attended by representatives of all the partner organizations, either in person or online. Therefore, this project financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program has a consortium of 7 partners: The University of Patras (Greece), Dorea Educational Institute WTF (Cyprus), Training 2000 psc (Italy), the Kemer Public Education Centre (Turkey), the Future Focus Ltd Higher Education Centre (Malta), the Association of Galician Entrepreneurs in Aragon and Riberas del Ebro, AEGARE, (Spain) and the European and International Projects Office of the FUE-UJI, EuroFUE-UJI (Spain), coordinator of the project.
In the next few months, both the training material and the mobile application will be ready for use and the training course will begin. The next transnational meeting is scheduled for next year 2021, with the University of Patras (Greece) as hosts of the meeting.
